Fall/Winter 2010-----Saturday Basketball with the PBA!
NOTE: All remaining Saturday Training sessions (Saturdays 12/4, 12.11, and 12/18) will be held at the Poolesville High School Main Gym. 3rd and 4th Grade sessions will be held from 2:00 to 3:30 PM. 5th and 6th Grade sessions will run from 3:30 to 5:00 PM.
Starting on Saturday November 13th, and running for four additional Saturdays in November and December, the Poolesville Basketball Association and Poolesville High School Varsity Basketball Coaches Fred Swick and Tom Lang are again offering Basketball Training for 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Grade Boy and Girl Basketball Players who are interested in improving their games. The first three Saturdays will involve teaching basketball fundamentals through skills training and educational drills geared to each age group. For the final two Saturdays, team play and coached scrimmaging will be the main emphasis.
These training sessions can play an important role in getting players geared up for their upcoming basketball seasons. Many rec. coaches use these training sessions as an extra practice each week---one that is geared towards working with the players on proper dribbling, shooting, and passing techniques. Proper defensive stances and techniques will also be emphasized.
All Saturday Basketball Training sessions will be held at the Poolesville Baptist Church and will be conducted by the PHS Varsity Coaches, their staff, and players. Due to time and space limitations, players may only participate in the session geared toward their grade level. Recreation League coaches and/or coaches interested in coaching in the PBA are welcome and will be admitted for free.
Please email PBA Treasurer Jim Brown at jimbrown.sales@gmail.com to register your player. Include player name, school, grade, and phone number when registering. Send the $50.00 registration checks (made payable to the PBA) to the PBA at P.O. Box 332, Barnesville, MD 20838. All players must be registered prior to the first session date in order to reserve a spot. There will be a limited amount of space available in each session so please register as soon as possible.
*****There will be no prorated fees due to missed sessions.
